Tarana Offers Big-Footprint Coverage and Capacity

The Tarana G1’s long range and high capacity, even in the face of obstructions and unlicensed interference, enable rapid deployment and unprecedented deep market penetration at large scale, opening up whole new strategic possibilities for new entrants, fast relief from network obsolescence for incumbents, and faster, more efficient progress on digital divide initiatives.

Up to four Tarana BNs can be deployed in a common 80 MHz channel on each tower in a network, delivering up to 9.6 Gbps of aggregate capacity per tower, and supporting up to 1,024 users. G1’s precise management of self-interference (with nulls up to 50 dB deep) both within and between cells enables true k=1 deployment, giving operators the freedom to point BNs where the subscribers are, regardless of G1 nodes’ orientation on neighboring towers.

With multi-km range, even in 5 GHz, large metro markets can be penetrated quickly to forestall targeted competitive response — with typically 75% fewer towers than prior FWA solutions. With tall towers in rural markets, the very broad (as in, many-mile) coverage they enable our BNs to deliver is already helping digital divide initiative spending achieve its goals much more quickly and cost efficiently.
